4 meses depois, finalmente pude ver a amanda de novo;
12, foi o numero de horas que dormi nos meus primeiros 3 dias, ainda cansado e desacostumado com o fuso.
19h, was what took me from my house in rio, to amanda's apartment;
55kg (121pounds) was how much luggage i brought up here;
8 thousand kilometers (5,000 miles) was the lenght of my flight;
1ºC (33ºF) is the average temperature here, at daytime;
4 months later, i could finally see amanda again;
12, was the amount of hours that i slept on each of my first 3 nights here, still tired and confused with the difference of time.

take me to her
depois de 4 meses aqui no brasil, to voltando hoje pros eua. voo aa950 saindo do rio as 19:25h e chegando em ny as 6:06h de amanhã, com uma parada em sp. por diversos motivos não tinha falei nada sobre minha nova ida aos eua, e um deles é porque o visto só saiu quarta passada... os outros muito em breve eu conto.
after 4 months in brazil, i'm going back to the usa tonight. flight aa950 from rio to nyc, leaving at 7:25p and arriving at 6:06a, with a short stop in sao paulo. it's due to many reasons that i haven't said a word about going back to the usa, but one of them is 'cause i got the visa last wednesday... very short i'll say the others.

restaura
minha família (leia-se meu pai) sempre gostou de foto, e acredito que por ter vivido na minha infância com cameras e lente com um monte de botões que eu não imaginava pra que serviam contribuiu para meu interesse por fotografia hoje em dia. de qualquer maneira, sou muito grato à ele pela incrível quantidade - e qualidade - de fotos e slides que temos de antes de eu nascer e da minha infância.
há algumas semanas atrás, revendo umas poucas dessas fotos, pensei em como gostaria que a amanda as visse e a partir daí comecei um projeto que me tomou um bom tempo: organizar todas as nossas fotos de família e digitalizar boa parte dela. daí tive que cataloguei 25 álbuns (dos 65 totais) que não tinham nenhuma referência de tempo, organizei todas as fotos, digitalizei as 120 melhores e corrigi as cores e nitidez das que fossem preciso. vão aqui algumas das fotos...
my family (as of my dad) always liked photography, and i believe that the fact that throughout my childhood i lived among cameras and lenses with a million buttons that i had no idea what they were for, helped me having interest for photography nowadays. anyways, i'm really grateful to him for the amazing numberous - and quality - of pictures and slides that we have here from before i was born through all my childhood.
a few weeks ago, flipping by some of these pictures, i thought of how much i'd like amanda to see them, and starting from there i started a little project that took me quite a while: organize all our family pictures and digitalize a good part of them. first i had to catalog 25 albums (out of the 65 we have) that had no reference in time whatsoever, then i organized 'em all, digitalized 120 of the best pictures we had and then fix their color and sharpness. here is a few of them...
